Through a blend of mentorship, career exploration, and culturally grounded learning experiences, we prepare students to lead with purpose and pride.

A: We center imagination as an essential part of education. Our programs connect young people to real-world mentors, creative problem-solving opportunities, and inspiring media. Q: What types of programs do you offer?
A: We offer a hybrid mentorship program, themed enrichment weeks, professional development workshops, career panels, and cultural learning experiences. All programming is designed to activate student imagination, boost confidence, and strengthen community connections.

Q: Who can join High Key Institute?
A: Our primary audience is middle and high school students (grades 6–12), with a focus on Black youth from New York and the Caribbean diaspora. However, educators, mentors, and community partners from all backgrounds are welcome to connect and contribute to our mission.

Q: Is there a cost to participate?
A: Many of our programs are free or funded through grants and sponsorships. When applicable, special events may include a small participation fee—but financial support is always available to ensure access.

Mentorship and Community

Q: How does your mentorship program work?
A: Our one-month mentorship experience matches students with professionals based on shared interests, goals, and values. Mentors guide students through industry exposure, life skills, and project-based learning. The program includes reflection, collaboration, and access to our extended High Key network.
